How it works
Each lesson has a native comment thread with moderation tools. When a student posts a comment, Alva Courses sends an email to the notification address you choose. You reply or moderate from the lesson discussion in the Shopify admin — there is no separate platform to monitor.
Set notifications steps
1. Open notification settings
In the Shopify admin, open Alva Courses and go to Settings. Find the discussion and notification options where comment alerts are configured.
2. Set the notification address
Turn on comment notifications and enter the email address that should receive them. Use a monitored support inbox so the right person sees every new comment, then click Save.
3. Get notified and reply
When a student comments on a lesson, Alva Courses emails the notification address. Open the lesson discussion to reply or moderate the comment.
What learners see
Enrolled students post and read comments under the lesson in the storefront course player. When you reply, your response shows in the same thread, marked as the instructor — keeping the whole conversation inside your Shopify store.
